About ServiceMatch

The three-way home services marketplace built for honest matchmaking.

ServiceMatch was founded on a simple frustration: home service marketplaces had become noisy, expensive, and one-sided. Customers fielded a flood of cold quotes from companies that never read the brief. Companies paid per lead for jobs that would never close. And the workers who actually showed up to do the work were invisible to the platforms profiting from their labor.

What makes ServiceMatch different?

We rebuilt the marketplace as a true three-sided ecosystem. Customers post jobs once. Companies see those jobs in a calendar — organized visually by deadline, not by how aggressively the platform's auto-bidder pushes them. Workers find steady employment with the companies they'd actually want to work for. Reviews flow both ways, so accountability cuts in both directions.

How are companies vetted?

Every company on ServiceMatch submits a license number and insurance documentation during onboarding. Our admin team manually reviews each submission, and verified companies earn a badge that appears next to their name everywhere on the platform. Premier-tier companies undergo an additional reference check and earn priority placement in search results. Reviews can only be left after a job is marked complete by both parties, and our team flags suspicious patterns for human review.

Why a calendar instead of a job feed?

Companies don't think in feeds — they think in days. A roofer with a free Tuesday and a booked Wednesday wants to see what work is available on the days they can actually schedule. Our calendar interface puts deadlines front and center, lets companies filter by category, and shows them exactly how busy each upcoming day will be. It's the workflow we wished existed when we ran service businesses ourselves.

Who's behind ServiceMatch?

ServiceMatch is built by a small team of marketplace operators, software engineers, and former trades professionals. We've worked at the largest home services platforms in the United States and saw firsthand how the incentives stopped serving the people doing the work. ServiceMatch is our attempt to build something we'd be proud to recommend to our own families.

Who do we serve?

ServiceMatch operates across the United States, with active customers, companies, and workers in 12 service categories: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, flooring, painting, landscaping, cleaning, moving, general contracting, appliance repair, and pest control. Whether you're a homeowner who needs a faucet fixed or a small contractor looking to hire your first apprentice, ServiceMatch has a path for you.

How do we make money?

ServiceMatch is free to join, free to post jobs, free to browse companies, and free to apply for worker positions. Companies will pay a small commission on completed jobs, and may opt in to featured listings for additional visibility. We don't sell leads, we don't run pay-per-bid auctions, and we don't profit from spammy behavior. Our model only succeeds when real work gets done well.
