Terms of Service
Effective May 3, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ServiceMatch (the "Service") operated at servicematch.online by ServiceMatch ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What is ServiceMatch?
ServiceMatch is an online marketplace that introduces customers seeking home services to companies and skilled workers. ServiceMatch is not a party to any contract for services entered into between users — companies are independent businesses, customers contract directly with companies, and workers are employed directly by companies. We do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any services rendered.
Who can use ServiceMatch?
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. Companies must be lawfully authorized to operate in their service area. Workers represent and warrant they have the legal right to work in the United States. Each account is for use by a single person or business; sharing credentials is prohibited.
What are my responsibilities?
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. You agree not to use the Service to post fraudulent, illegal, abusive, defamatory, harassing, or misleading content; impersonate others; circumvent fees or platform mechanisms; harvest contact information; transmit malware; or otherwise harm the platform or its users.
How do reviews work?
Reviews on ServiceMatch are bidirectional — both customers and companies may review each other after a job is marked complete. Reviews must reflect honest first-hand experience and may not contain personal attacks, slurs, or unverifiable accusations. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these standards, but we do not edit reviews to favor any party. Reviews are the opinions of their authors and not endorsements by ServiceMatch.
What about fees and payments?
Creating an account, posting jobs, browsing companies, and applying for worker positions are free. ServiceMatch may charge companies a commission on completed jobs and may offer optional paid features such as featured listings or premium badges. Fees and pricing will be disclosed in advance and may change with reasonable notice. All payments to companies for completed work are made directly between customer and company; ServiceMatch does not currently process job payments.
What content do we own?
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by ServiceMatch and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you submit (jobs, profiles, reviews, messages, photos), but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and adapt that content as necessary to operate and promote the Service.
What disclaimers apply?
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or completion of any service performed by a company; the truthfulness of any information posted by users; uninterrupted access; or freedom from errors. You use the Service at your own risk and should always verify a company's license, insurance, and references before hiring.
What are the limits of liability?
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ServiceMatch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Disputes and indemnification
Any dispute between users (for example, a disagreement over service quality, payment, or scheduling) is between those users to resolve directly. We may, but are not required to, assist with mediation. You agree to indemnify and hold ServiceMatch harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the Service or your interactions with other users.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@servicematch.online. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limits of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ServiceMatch is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that state for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Effective" date above and notify users by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
